Laura graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2019 but is originally a local lass growing up just outside of York. Not from a farming background, Laura has developed an interest in the industry and has experience of running a flock of sheep on rented grassland around York. As a student, Laura enjoyed spending a lot of time at Bishopton, as well as completing a dairy externship in California and working on farms in North Yorkshire.
