COVID-19 Update - September 2021

Although the rules have changed, the virus is still out there and protecting our clients and our team is still our priority. We want to ensure that we can stay open so that we can continue to care for your pets. As a result we are going to continue with our current Covid policies.

  • You will be given the opportunity to enter the surgery or remain outside as per your preference. We appreciate some clients may prefer to remain outside/in the car and that’s absolutely fine. Please let our Client Care Team know and we will send a team membr outside to collect your pet.
  • You will be required to complete the standard covid questionnaire if you wish to enter the building, to ensure that you have no current symptoms or need for self-isolation.
  • We will continue to operate a strict one client only per appointment.
  • Please continue to wear facemasks or face shields at all times.
  • Please sanitise your hands on entering the building and at key touch points.
  • If you are told to self-isolate or you are postive for Covid please do not attend the practice under any circumstances. Let the Client Care Team know and you will be given further advice.
    At our Ripon Hospital …
    • Upon arrival, please ring the front door bell on the main door of the surgery, where you will be advised on further instructions.
    • Clients will receive a buzzer from a member of staff with a number corresponding with their parking bay (or next in line if on foot).
    • When the buzzer is activated, please come to the front entrance. Please return the buzzer into a box to be cleaned.
    • Once inside the building clients will be directed to the consultation room following the one-way system. Once in the consult room please stay in the marked area of the room.
    • At the end of the consult please leave the room and building through main door following the one-way system floor markers.
    • To pay and collect medicines please go to the payment station.
    • Ideally, please pay using contactless payment methods where possible.
At our Northallerton, Easingwold and Pateley Bridge surgeries …
    • Upon arrival, please knock on the front door. You will be guided to a marked area in the waiting room, where you will be required to remain for the duration of the consultation.
    • The vet will gather your pet’s clinical history and collect your pet to perform the clinical examination in the consult room.
    • After the examination, the vet will return your pet to you, assume an appropriate distance in the waiting room, then discuss the case with you.
    • Payment and completion of insurance forms can be made at the reception desk – please remain behind the Perspex screen at all times.
    • Ideally, please pay using contactless payment methods where possible
    • At our Northallerton surgery clients can continue to access the payment station, collect medicines & food from the Farmers entrance and at Easingwold the window will still be used as a payment/collection point.
