COVID-19 Update - February 2022

We are delighted to welcome you back into our waiting rooms at all of our surgeries. However, we do need to ensure that we continue to try and minimise the spread of Covid-19, so to keep everyone safe, we ask that you follow the guidelines below:-

  • Please continue to wear facemasks or face shields at all times unless medically exempt.
  • We will continue to operate a strict one client only per appointment.
  • Please sanitise your hands on entering the building and at key touch points.
  • Please arrive no more than 5-minutes early for your appointment to avoid congestion in the waiting room.
  • To avoid congestion in our waiting room, we will be inviting clients in on a one in one out basis, so that we have one client in with the vet whilst the next client waits in the waiting room in the allocated space.
  • If you do not want to come into the building with your pet, please let our Client Care Team know and we will send a team member outside to collect you pet.
  • If you test positive for Covid please do not attend the practice under any circumstances. Let the Client Care Team know and you will be given further advice.
  • At our Ripon Hospital …
    • Upon arrival please register at reception.
    • To avoid congestion in our waiting room, we will be inviting clients in on a one in one out basis, so that we have one client in with the vet, whilst the next client waits in the waiting room in the allocated space.
    • If the waiting room is busy clients will receive a buzzer from a member of staff with a number corresponding with their parking bay (or next in line if on foot).
    • When the buzzer is activated, please come back to the front entrance. Please return the buzzer into a box to be cleaned.
    • Once inside the building clients will be directed to the waiting room where they will wait for the vet to become free.
    • Once in the consult room please stay in the marked area of the room.
    • At the end of the consult please leave the room and building through main door following the one-way system floor markers.
    • Ideally, please pay using contactless payment methods where possible.
    At our Northallerton, Easingwold and Pateley Bridge surgeries …
    • Upon arrival please register at reception.
    • To avoid congestion in our waiting room, we will be inviting clients in on a one in one out basis, so that we have one client in with the vet, whilst the next client waits in the waiting room in the allocated space.
    • Payment and completion of insurance forms can be made at the reception desk – please remain behind the Perspex screen at all times.
    • Ideally, please pay using contactless payment methods where possible
    • At our Northallerton surgery clients can continue to access the payment station, collect medicines & food from the Farmers entrance and at Easingwold the window will still be used as a payment/collection point.

For repeat prescriptions (including flea and worm treatment) you can also order by emailing repeatprescriptions@bishoptonvets.co.uk Please state in your email: - your name, pet's name, medicine required & contact number (essential). Medicines will be available for collection as normal from all surgeries.

PetsApp
We also have our fabulous PetsApp which can be used for repeat prescriptions, arranging appointments, general queries, information, making payments and virtual consults. If you have not already downloaded PetsApp it is really simple to do. From a smartphone or tablet (not a desktop) click on the following link (for your local surgery) which will take you to the AppStore for you to download PetsApp then install and add your pet's details.
