Caring for Your Pet
One of the best things about our work is being given the opportunity to care for pets throughout their lives, getting to know them (and their owners!) and ensuring they stay fit and healthy over the years. We have published a series of ‘how to guides’ which will build over the coming months; please click through here to access them.
Owning a new pet can be an exciting time but it can also be a little daunting, particularly if you’re a first time owner. The good news is that, from the moment they come home, you can be confident that our dedicated small animal team is on hand to provide advice, reassurance and care. We run a kitten health scheme to offer the best value healthcare for your new arrival and our popular puppy classes are designed to help your puppy socialise with others and learn some basic commands.
Free nurse clinics are available at every stage in your pet’s life including:
- New puppy, adolescent and senior health checks
- New kitten health checks
- Weight clinics
- Flea and worm control advice
We also offer microchipping for on-going peace of mind, nail clipping and behavioural clinics/one-to-one training sessions to sort out any issues you might be having with your pet’s behaviour whether outdoors or in the home.
We understand that illnesses and accidents can occur at any time so the care doesn’t end when the surgery closes. When you contact our out-of-hours’ emergency service, you can be confident that your pet will be seen by one of the small animal vets from within the practice. We can also ensure that your pet sees the same vet throughout their treatment if further appointments are required – simply ask at the time of booking and our reception team will do the rest.
Puppy Health Scheme
It is well worth considering enrolling your puppy on our Puppy Health Scheme. Not only does it include first and second vaccinations, but you also receive a free month’s worming and flea treatments, four weeks’ free insurance, a discount on microchipping and a free Perfect Puppy book as a handy guide to all the new stages you will encounter in the first few years of your puppy’s life.
